The University of Oslo (UiO) node is located at the Institute of Basic Medical Science (IMB), and features several high-end imaging systems for multi-level high-resolution investigation of molecules, cells, organs and living organisms. The node provides access to advanced instruments together with expertise, services, education, and training aimed at enhancing biomedical research. Some units are available for trained users or deliver production services, while others require scientific collaborations. The UiO node provides expert advice and recommendations to interested researchers. Workflows for spatial integration and automated quantitative image analysis of 2D and 3D neuroscience image data in mouse or rat brain reference atlases are available via the Norwegian INCF node.
