Course at UiB: 2026 MIC Course in Microscopy Part I and II

This course is intended for participants who wish to expand their knowledge of the fundamental principles of microscopy (Part I), progress into more advanced confocal imaging applications (Part II), and get an introduction to image analysis using various software platforms. All the imaging systems and software introduced in the course are available at MIC, and the aim is to equip participants with a deeper conceptual understanding and practical skills to design and perform imaging experiments with greater precision, as well as to more easily evaluate which imaging systems are most appropriate for their specific research questions.

When: 14.-16. April 2026 (Part I) and 20.-22. April (Part II)

EBRAINS meets with Nordic neuroscience community at FENS Regional Meeting 2025

The FENS Regional Meeting 2025 was held in the University of Oslo (UiO) campus on 16-19 June. With an exhibition co-hosted by the Norwegian Brain Initiative (NORBRAIN), the INCF, and EBRAINS Norway, the EBRAINS Research Infrastructure was highly visible at the conference.

NORBRAIN4 granted over 80 million kroners by the Research Council of Norway

The national infrastructure NORBRAIN has given us new knowledge about spatial awareness, memory and brain cleansing while we sleep. Researchers at NTNU, UiO and UiB, under the leadership of Nobel laureate Edvard Moser, make sure that Norwegian brain scientists can deliver results of internationally excellent calibre.
