Facilities at the University of Bergen (UiB) node are hosted by Clive Bramham, Espen Hartveit, and Charalampos Tzoulis. Clive Bramham is head of the Synaptic Plasticity Research Group and host for the Single-molecule Imaging Facility at the Department of Biomedicine. Espen Hartveit heads the Neural Microcircuits Research Group and hosts the Facility for 3D scanning and uncaging two-photon microscopy at the Department of Biomedicine. Charalampos Tzoulis leads the Translational Neurodegeneration Research Group and hosts the Spatial Transcriptomics Facility at the Department of Clinical Medicine, Haukeland University Hospital. Brain research is a priority area for UiB, interlinking leading research groups across the Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Psychology.
